Global Head of IM&S - Your future role?
As the Global Head of IM&S, you will establish a clear company vision for indirect spend globally with focus on value creation and bottom line- aligned with the current strategy goals and targets. You will lead & develop Regional Heads & Senior Global Category Managers and manage a skilled, efficient, diverse and performance driven IM&S organization. The role offers direct exposure to and close collaboration with senior executive leadership while representing Procurement in key strategic initiatives.
You will report directly to the Chief Procurement & Sustainability Officer.
You will be based in Vernier or Kemptthal, Zürich.
Your main responsibilities will include
IM&S strategy development and execution
- Establish and execute a global strategy for indirect materials and services procurement within Givaudan in order to manage spend as effectively as possible
- Work with IM&S organization and stakeholders to ensure strategy is understood, adapted to business requirements and gives transparency of spend, compliance and performance
- Take responsibility for the overall establishment and delivery of IM&S savings targets
- Drive compliance through the development, maintenance and follow-up of appropriate corporate IM&S policies.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to IM&S Regional Managers and Category Managers along with development, training and promotion opportunities based on performance
- Develop solid succession plans and stand-out leaders for key positions within the IM&S organization
- Develop collaboration within and across regions within the IM&S procurement organization
Sustainability
- Sponsor Scope 3 roadmap for IM&S
- Represent IM&S in Sustainable Operations Steerco and ensure projects move forward
Stakeholder management
- Represent the IM&S procurement function with key business stakeholders
- Foster strong collaboration between global, regional and local procurement and key regional stakeholders by ensuring transparency, effective communication, understanding business needs and alignment
- Follow up with business leaders and functions when required in the event of any non-compliance
AI/Technology
- Leverage AI and advanced technologies to enhance procurement processes and decision-making to drive organization optimization
- Champion digital tools for data analysis, supplier performance tracking, and market trend forecasting to drive efficiencies and improve sourcing strategies
- Be a force of proposition on emerging technologies and industry trends that can impact Indirect Procurement Categories
Your professional profile includes
- Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
- At least 15 years of experience in Procurement/Commercial and/or OPS organizations with minimum 10 years of proven track record in direct or indirect procurement roles
- Minimum 7 years of proven leadership experience in an international environment
- Knowledge of F&F/FMCG/Chemical industry
- Fluent in English, other languages are beneficial
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and systems
- Excellent Communication/Storytelling skills
- Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on people management
- Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
- Exceptional relationship builder and stakeholder manager; has the ability to form and grow own networks
- Change management skills – track record in managing culture and complex transformations
